The Four Pricing Models
Almost every dispatch product in this industry uses one of four models. Knowing which one you are being sold matters more than the number attached to it, because they behave very differently as you grow.
Flat subscription — One price per month for a capacity band. The cost is flat until you cross a band.
Per driver — A price for each chauffeur on the system. The cost rises with every person you add.
Per vehicle — A price for each car. The cost rises with every car you add.
Commission — A percentage of each booking. The cost rises with every fare you take.
None of these is dishonest. But only the first one lets you know next year's software bill today.
Under a per-driver model, hiring two chauffeurs raises your software cost before either of them has earned anything. Under commission, a good month costs you more than a bad one for exactly the same product.
AtoZ uses the flat model: a price per capacity band, no per-driver charge, no per-vehicle charge, no percentage of any booking.
What Is Usually Charged Extra
This is where quoted prices and actual prices separate. When comparing vendors, ask specifically about each of these, because a low monthly figure with all six charged separately is not a low price.
Setup or implementation. A one-time fee to configure the system.
Data migration. Moving your client list, driver records and booking history off the old system. Sometimes quoted per record.
Training. Sessions for you and your drivers, sometimes charged per session or per head.
Priority support. A faster response time as a paid add-on.
The passenger app. Occasionally sold as a separate module from the dispatch system.
SMS. Text messaging almost always costs extra, everywhere, for reasons covered below.

Team 25 is the plan most operators land on, because it leaves room to grow without another migration.
The setup fee is real and it is published. We would rather name it in the second paragraph than have you find it at the end of a sales call — a fee you discover late costs a vendor more trust than the fee itself is worth.
First-Year Total for Three Sizes
The number that actually matters is the first year, because that is when setup lands. After year one, the setup fee is gone and the monthly figure is the whole bill.
Five chauffeurs — Team 5
$149 × 12 = $1,788, plus $499 setup = $2,287 in year one.
Year two onwards: $1,788.
Twenty-five chauffeurs — Team 25
$299 × 12 = $3,588, plus $699 setup = $4,287 in year one.
Year two onwards: $3,588.
Fifty chauffeurs — Team 50
$399 × 12 = $4,788, plus $799 setup = $5,587 in year one.
Year two onwards: $4,788.
Divide the Team 25 figure by twenty-five chauffeurs and the software costs about $14 per chauffeur per month in the first year. On a per-driver model, $14 per driver per month would be an unusually cheap quote — and it would keep climbing every time you hired.
The One Genuine Exception
SMS costs extra, and it is worth explaining why rather than burying it.
Text messaging is not something a dispatch vendor can simply switch on. It runs through an outside telecoms provider who charges per message, and in the United States sending business SMS requires registration and approval before a single text goes out. Neither the cost nor the approval is ours to absorb or waive.
So SMS is quoted separately, based on your volume and your provider. Every other channel — email, in-app notification, the booking confirmations — is included.
If a vendor tells you unlimited SMS is included at no cost, ask them who their carrier is and what happens when you send ten thousand messages in a month.
What About One Car?
If you are a single chauffeur and what you need is a booking link rather than a dispatch platform, there is a Solo Booking option at $25 a month with no setup fee, live in 48 hours.
It is a booking channel, not the platform described above — no team dispatch, no driver management.
For most operators reading a page about dispatch software, a Team plan is the honest recommendation.
Working Out Your Own Number
The comparison worth doing is not monthly against monthly. It is total first-year cost against total first-year cost, with every line above accounted for on both sides, and then the same sum for year three at the fleet size you expect to be by then.
